This write up is being blasted out to my 750+ email list and posted directly to my Substack blog.

As of December 16, 2022, my best written content will be posted to Substack with frequent posts sent out as email newsletters.
If you’re on my list, it means you’ve supported me in some way along my digital journey.
I appreciate your support and want to give you an update on what you’ll be receiving from me moving forward.
Why the change and what’s it about? I’ll use 3 questions to keep me on track here:
Why am I writing on Substack?
What am I going to be writing about?
What am I looking forward to most about this journey?
Why am I writing on Substack?
Writing on Substack makes it easy for me to publish high quality content, organize all posts in one place and reach a wide audience.
As a product, Substack is a professional blog and newsletter wrapped in one.
For my readers, it’s easy to sift through my archive of posts. For me, it’s easy to publish posts and send newsletters without juggling multiple web services.
Before this, I was writing atomic essays on my Typeshare blog, posting articles on my website and sending newsletters via ConvertKit.
Too many moving parts! No surprise I lacked consistency…
I also see Substack flowing well with Twitter, where I’ve built my audience to 10k+.
What am I going to be writing about?
Triathlon, endurance, nutrition, mindset, internet business, creating a life of meaning, discovering and pursing your passions, fatherhood (baby Dreyer coming May 2023!) and more.
AKA… nothing new. If you follow me on Twitter, you know I write about all these topics often.
The goal is for my best content to be published to Substack.
The flow goes like this:
Tweets > Threads > Atomic Essays > Substack Posts
My writing mentor, Dickie Bush, has hammered home the “make noise, listen for signal” idea for me.
What am I looking forward to most about this journey?
Stepping into a more authoritative role as a content creator.
I built an online coaching business that let me quit my $100k+ job at JP Morgan.
I coached 10 athletes across their first 70.3 finish line.
I coached 7 athletes across their first Ironman finish line.
I have 30+ people in my paid online community.
And STILL, I doubt myself.
My entire entrepreneurial journey has been a process of REFRAMING REALITY in my mind. So that I can see myself differently and take action accordingly.
I believe that by publishing on Substack, I’ll allow my knowledge, experience and authentic self shine through.
My posts here will be building blocks that will allow me to reach new heights.
I’m excited for the journey. I think this is going to be big!
Thanks for being along for the ride.
