The lone wolf doesn’t lack drive.
He lacks visibility.
He can’t imagine a bigger life—because he’s not around one.
Consider the alternative…
Last week, an athlete flew out to Colorado thinking he was just coming for training…
What he didn’t expect was the perspective shift.
After a week of:
trail runs
bike rides
team meals
powerful conversations with other Tribal athletes
And juggling remote work through it all…
He had this to say in our first chat after his trip:
“It feels like I have a lot more agency now.”
Not stronger. Not faster. More free.
This is the real gift of coming together.
You don’t just run more miles or train harder.
You start to believe you’re allowed to build your life differently.
You realize you can rewrite your script and do things you feel unqualified for.
You realize you can:
sign up for the race
launch the side project
start writing and building online
Or move to the place that’s calling you. Or quit the job that’s shackling you. Or finally step into the bigger life that’s waiting at your fingertips.
That kind of permission doesn’t come from reading a motivational quote...
It comes from being around people who are already living that way.
Then I Saw This Tweet…
And it hit me, like the first beaming ray of sun on a sunrise trail run…
That’s exactly what we’re building inside Tribal:
A roaming pack of high agency individuals
We are not just endurance athletes.
We are people who believe in making bold decisions, pursuing meaningful goals, and supporting each other in the process.

And Ask Yourself This…
Isn’t it kind of easy to lone wolf it?
To keep your head down and chase something quietly?
With no accountability? No homies to call you on your BS? No one to tell you…
Hey man, you are the one holding yourself back from everything you say you want in life.
Maybe that’s why most lone wolves stay stuck in the idea stage.
Thinking about…
starting the side hustle
committing to a healthy lifestyle
moving to the place that’s calling them
going big in life and going all in on their dreams
They hesitate to exercise the freedom they already have.
Because they’re not around people who are already living that way.
Run. Write. Build.
This is also why Tribal has evolved into more than just endurance training.
Because once you realize you have agency in training, you start to wonder where else it applies.
To writing
To business
To the way you build your life
We’re not just building stronger athletes. We’re building bolder people.
We push each other to take risks, create things that matter, and act on the freedom we already have— even when we feel unqualified.
Bonus: The Pack of Coyotes
Last Friday, my favorite band Mt. Joy released a new song called Coyote.
The first line in the song captured my attention on the first listen:
“Come on, get on the bus
There’s room for all of us
Come on, get on this bus
It’s gonna take your trust”
When I heard that, I immediately thought of Tribal.
To me, it’s saying:
Come join the team
There’s room for you here
But… it’s gonna require something most people struggle with…
Trust.
Trust to take the leap
Trust that you will be OK
Trust that the pack will help you go further than you could alone
Another line later in the song hit on Tribal themes again:
“If we’re gonna go, better go together
Times like these don’t last forever
If we’re gonna go, better go together
Coyotes together, together, together”
That’s it.
Tribal is a pack of coyotes.
And if we’re gonna do the big, hard, meaningful things in life
train for races
build businesses
launch creative projects
lead our families with conviction and power...
We might as well do it together.

P.S.
Did this light a fire in you?
Let’s punch through - together.
March is the last month I’m accepting applications for 1 on 1 coaching in 2025.
